I first tried hot yoga because I wanted a cross training plan that would fit alongside my passion for running. I kept coming back because the heat and stretching helped my endurance and relieved some runner's ailments like tight hamstrings and hips just to name a few. But as I practiced more regularly I not only saw a physical transformation but an internal feeling of well-being each time I came to class. Then I was able to take this blissful feeling away with me to home and work.

With my schedule of full time work, kids, home, I took the chance (on myself) on the journey of teacher training. I had butterfly feelings; I did not know what to expect.

I learned a lot about yoganatomy, yoga history, philosophy...but most importantly I learned about myself and my capabilities, all those positive qualities that have always been there but that I had not tapped it in over 20 years or more. My biggest takeaway: I am more confident and happy with myself. The bonus is getting to teach! And when you say to me, "You did a great job", "That was great," "I feel so good," or "Great class, thanks, " it gives me those wonderful butterfly feelings all over again...
