Chocolate Cherry Kale
Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 10:50PM Today marks Day 1 of my 30 Day Hot Yoga and Green Smoothie challenge. Here is my smoothie recipe for day one! It was packed with Maca a superfood that gives you great energy throughout the day. I was super productive leading right up to 6pm class.
Ingredients:
1 bottle Zico Chocolate Cocunut Water (electrolyte replacing)
1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology (my favorite superfood/protein powder)
1 frozen banana
2 handfuls frozen cherries
Organic Leafy Kale (2-3 stalks)
-Put all ingredients in blender at once
-Blend until smooth
-Get ready to feel some amazing energy throughout the day!
**I will be blogging more about the benefits of Shakeology soon. It's definitely a new staple (and love) in my life!**

If you run out of Chocolate Zico like I did tonight, you can substitute with water or Almond Milk. It still has that nice chocolate flavor. Tonight I used Almond Milk...it was like a creamy milkshake!
